beyon’s position in the collective at Lupinewood is Groundskeeper.

She keeps the grass mowed where the kids play and the parties go down.

She shows up to the Sisyphean task of beating back the bittersweet, and tends the ancient lilac bushes, the teenage chestnut trees and the special patch of American ginseng.

She tracks down the guy who plows our pain in the ass driveway and makes sure he gets his cash and Pall Malls and coffee. Then she shovels and sands the paths so everyone can get out safe.

She’s in charge of finding the supply of firewood we need to run the 2 big woodstoves that heat the place, and once a year she organizes the spring wood stacking party where we invite you all to come stack wood and also dress up in ludicrous costumes that make it difficult to stack wood and then sweatily compete for prizes. That was her idea. 2 years ago the theme was Log of the Rings, last year was 2001 A Space Logyssey – taking ideas for 2026 🤠
